In November 2010, mCentrik, Allstate Resource Management, and Youth Environmental Alliance teamed up to install 300 “No Dumping – Drains to Waterways” placards on the storm drains around Forest Ridge, a residential community in Davie, Florida (Steve Weinsier and Joel Wolf of Allstate Resource Management are SFAEP members).

Erik Neugaard was awarded the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award by Nova Southeastern University (NSU) at their Celebration of Excellence on January 20th. NSU, located in Fort Lauderdale, is the 6th largest private university in the United States.
Erik was recognized for his contributions to the environmental profession, including being President of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals and a Trustee of the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals.
Sandra Lee has been busy as a Board Director of the U.S Green Building Council South Florida Chapter (USGBCSF) and the Chair of the Broward Branch of the USGBC.
She had an article on sustainable neighborhood development published in the supplement to the December issue of the S.E. Construction Magazine and organized the screening of the award winning film ‘Climate Refugees’ in January at Cinema Paradiso to a great turn out. Sandra, along with co-presenters Robert Cannellos of the Spinnaker Group and Jonathan Burgess of Land Design South, gave a presentation on March 4th at the MiaGreen Conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center on LEED for Neighborhood Development.
Sandra was also on a panel discussion on March 11th to discuss the City of Fort Lauderdale Legacy project as a part of the international 2011 SubTropical Cities Conference that was being held in Fort Lauderdale this year.
